? Re; Ruslow Rotors + Hawk Pad Install

I'm about to install a set of Stans (RUSOLW) rotors & Hawk pads this week & have ? re; the use of anti-squeal brake grease on the pad backing plate. I have the Ford CD ROM shop manual & they make no mention of the use of brake grease,.... so what the consensus of the folks that have done this? Grease or no grease? If you have used it (grease) what do you use?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Most American cars use aluminum shims or a ruberized anti squeel paste to keep disc brakes quiet. I've seen grease used on Mercedes discs (on the backside of the pad). The gease looked more like a copper anti-seize. I'm sure either will work fine.

Paul, I always use "Disc Quiet" spray, but they also have little packets of stuff you can buy at AutoZone for a dollar a packet (which will probably work for one axle/two brakes).

pitstain, as for the CD, you can find it on eBay. Just search for "F150 Factory Manual"
