Tire Size Question

I recently purchased a 2001 F150 Supercrew 4x4 Lariat. It has a 5.4 V8, but I am not sure of the gears. I am interested in putting a 3" lift on it along with some wheels & tires. My original thoughts were to put some 16x10 Mickey Thompson Wheels and 33x14.50 Mickey Thompson Baja Tires. After a little web browsing I notice they don't make a 33x14.50 for a 16" wheel only 15". They do however make a 34x14.50r16, but I am not sure if those will fit under a 3" body lift.

After reading a few posts I see that you can get 35x12.5 with a 3" body lift and a little cutting, but I am not sure that is the look I am looking for. I want some additional height, but I also want some width.

Can anyone provide some suggestions of tires that would be similar and fit with a 3" body lift. Also, any links to pics with them equipped would be great.

The 35x12.50's (315/75-16) are an extremely tight fit with a 3 inch lift and 10 inch wide wheels. I would suggest sticking to that size.

I saw some 35x12.5's on a Screw today, didn't really liked the way they looked. Granted I think they were on 16x8 rims. Would some 33x13.50's fit alright with the 3" body lift? If so do you have any recommendation on the tire? I have only seen a few that size, don't believe any were radials (which I am told ride much better than a bias tire).

The ones I have seen are M/T Baja Claw and Swamper STS TrXus.

Have you considered going with a 325/60-18 Nitto Terra Grappler or Toyo Open Country AT on an 18x10 inch wheel? They are basically a 34x13.50-18 tire. One manufacturer list them as 33 inches tall, the other list it as 34 inches tall even though they are the same size and are made in the same factory. Also, you are right, a radial will perform much, much better on the road than a bias tire.

I haven't considered those, I glanced at them briefly but the local dealer's website had them listed around $250, so I didn't go any further. But since you recommended them I did a search on a few online dealers and see them as low as $150. So I am considering them now. I like the look of the Nitto.
Nitto's website shows the 325/60R18 to measure 32.99/12.83 on a 18x9.5 Rim. Looks like it would be a 33x12.5 basically. However I saw they also make a LT325/70R16 that measures 33.86 13.03 on a 16x9.5 Rim. Think that would fit? It would probably be a little wider on a 16x10, but not much. Also, is anyone already running these that could tell me how good they are?

Yeah, I forgot about the 325/70-16's. THat would probably be a good option also.
