275 65 R18 odd tire size??

Saturday 4/16: I get a flat tire on the LR side, so I slap on the spare and go on with my business...

Sunday Morning I go down to the tire place to have them fix my flat tire, long story short... the tire is un-repairable because whatever gouged it, is on the bend where the sidewall and tire tread meet. I fully understand so I just have them switch the tire from my spare and stick it on the good rim to match with the rest of course, the spare is the same anyway, it just has 8k less mile on it! (never been used)

I asked about a basic tire to fill the spare rim just to have it in case I get another flat, and it turns out that the wheel and tire size combo I have is odd and they don't even have a listing for it.

The guys were nice and didn't even charge me for anything because they couldn't help on locating a tire. I bought them all a soda, so I hope they're happy...

I guess now I have to go down to my Dealer and ask them to gouge me with a price for an identical spare.... I hope they have my tire.

thanks for reading, please respond with any suggestions!

your bud in Vegas,

Brandon

The 2004 F-150 invented that size and most people haven't worn them out yet. Like the 265/70R17's in 1997, people have limited selection and high prices to pay for replacements.

Here are some availible.

265/70-17 is fairly common now, but how about my 275/60-17's? I almost went with a narrower, more common tire size but ended up getting a fair price on some Michelin Cross Terrains (had to order them). Just over $830 out the door, mounted and balanced.
