Big Brakes for cheap
As you all know, upgrading to larger brakes can be very expensive.
Baer Brakes has a reasonably priced upgrade called Eradispeed Plus One, and they are nearly done with the kit for our trucks:

Basically, you get a larger rotor, and a caliper relocation kit. It's not as trick as a full big-brake kit, but then it's a lot cheaper, too. Target price is just $500 - $700; compare that to $2,000++ for a full-on big brake kit.
While you don't get the benefits of six-piston calipers, that larger rotor provides greater leverage, so theoretically you'll get more stopping power.
I've got a 97 Expy, and kits for trucks with the same brakes as mine should be out in a month or two.
I think this is great news, as I don't have the funds for $2,000 brakes. This seems like a good compromise.
If you are interested, start calling them to bug them. Maybe it'll speed up the development...
