can i fit a 36x13.5 with a 3 inch body lift

i have always been a sports car guy, this is my first truck. i just picked up a set of 20 inch wheels and want to run big tires. i have been told by a few people locally i will be able to fit 36x13.5 inch tires with a 3 inch body lift. others say no way in hell. any input would be much appreciated. thanks. i know the right way to go would be a suspension lift but with the others toys, that just isn't in the budget for this summer. thanks again

I have a 4" suspension lift and a 4" body lift/ I had 35/15/15
super swampers and they rubbed on hard turns. It could of been because of the width of the tire?It doesn't seem to me that 36"
tires would fit with a 3" body lift .I now have the 35" mud rovers-no chance of rubbin!

i have 3'' bl and 35's and i had to cut the bottom plastic on the bumper to keep them from rubbing. i think you will rub on your stock fender flare. also i just put 18" rims on and now my 35" rubs somewhere on the inside near the frame because the backspacing on the new wheel.

i measured and i have 5 3/4 back spacing. so now clue, starting to get frustrated and just go with a smaller tire.
