Friend has a 2016 f150 4x4. The front brakes were just changed and the outer pad on passenger side was completely worn down and uneven. Installed new pads and rotor and now only the top half of the pad is wearing on the rotor. We greased slide pins too. Could the caliper be bad?

 

What brand pads? I had some AutoZoo pads that fit too tight that did something like that. I filed the tabs on the top and bottom so they would slide in the holder, problem solved.

Ford pads are the best.

 

They are from autozone too. Maybe I need to shave some down too

 

Replaced calipers, pads, rotor. Torqued to spec. See pictures, still uneven wear

 

Are they loose in the sliders? That was my problem.

I had that problem with my 2012 F150. It ended up being the bracket that holds the caliper on was warped. A new bracket solved it
