Unhappy Someone Has Got To Have An Answer?!?!?!

I'VE GOT A 2000 F150 STANDARD CAB 2X4 WITH 4.6V8. ON THE ADVICE FROM THE GUYS AT "DISCOUNT TIRES" I PUT 315 ON A 16X10 RIM. NOT ONLY ARE THEY (THE TIRES) RUBBING ALL OVER THE PLACE AND NOW I HAVE TO DO TRIMMING, BUT MY SPEEDOMETER IS OFF. HOW CAN I CHANGE IT TO READ NORMAL? I'LL BE REGEARING AND ADDING A REAR DIFF LOCKER IN A FEW MONTHS. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP! YA ALL ROCK!!!

You can recalibrate your speedo with a tuner; I don't think they will do the computer recalibration at the dealer.

You can find tuners at most auto supply stores; get ready to spend $400, but, the tuner brings with it performance. Check out Troyer Performance - he's one of the sponsors of this website; www.troyerperformance.com

They can recalibrate your speedo at the dealer. I don't remember the exact year, but I believe it is 99 an newer only. The tuner will also do the job but rather expensive if the rest of the tuner capabilities are not important to you. Also, you shouldn't have any problems with those tires rubbing on those rims if you have the right back spacing and offset.

315s on a 4x2 with 16x10s???!!! Thats should not be! This was a bad idea, plus you only have 4.6, i bet you are getting terrible gas mileage!

Take the truck back to Discount Tire and tell them you have rubbing issues.

I bet they take care of you.
