Tire question for wandell or anyone else?

I just bought a 04 s-crew a couple of months ago and been reading all the different post on here that have really helped me with things that I have done to my truck. My question is can a set of 305/70/16 tires on 16x8 rims fit on my truck or should I say do you think that it will look good. I do have a leveling kit installed on the truck. I that doesn't work will a set of 33x12.50xr17 fit on the stock rims. As you can see I don't know that much about tires. Thanks!

Tires

Both sets should fit on the truck and not rub since you have the leveling kit.

The first tires are 305/70-16 and that is 32.8 inches high and 12 inches wide.

The second tires are of course 33" x 12.5.

Will the 16 inch rims fir the truck with no interferance with the brakes?

The 12.5 inch tires are actually too wide for the 7.5 inch rims. They will go on but might not weat or work well.

Why not get a 17x8 rim or something to solve all the problems?

Hope that this helps.

Unless you have a Heritage, 16in rims wont fit.You need atleast 17 to clear the calipers, and even some 17s wont fit. The tire size (33x12.5x17) will fit with a leveling kit, but 16s wont fit.

Yeah, if you have a new body style 04, you have to use a 17 inch or larger wheel. And yes, 33x12.50-17's will work on your stock wheels.
