Question What tires for my 2002?

First off, thanks in advance for letting me into the family. I have a 2002 F150 Supercrew. I've purchased the Helo Maxx6's...17-9. I want to put some meats on it. The tire shops say that 285-75-17 is the biggest tire that can go on without rub. I believe that I can fit a 305 under, with a little trimmin of the valance, possibly crankin the torsion bars. Anyway, what could I fit under there without any problems? Also, What meats do you suggest? I'm considering the BFG AT, BFG MT, and the MTRs. Anything else I should consider?

I'll assume you have a 4wd. 285s will fit without any trimming or cranking.

305s should fit, but you may have to trim some valence or do some slight cranking.

Any of the three types of tire you mentioned will work well, but it really depends on what type of terrain you'll be driving on.

I agree. You can fit a 305/70-17 (34x12.50), 295/70-17 (34x12.00) or a 33x12.50-17 by cranking up the torsion bars and trimming a little plastic off the front bumper's lower valance.
