265/70/17 LT's on 00' Lariat wheels - Pro's, Con's

What are they? I'm thinking of getting BFG rugged trail T/A take offs.
Better or worse:
- handling than stock?
- noise?
- ride?
- mileage?

What tires did your truck come with?

In any case I would say you will see improvements in all those areas going to the Rugged Trails.

I can't imagine how BFG's could be that much better, but I'm anxious to find out. I've got 71k on my original RTS's w/ ~ another 30k to go! Never had them balanced and still totally quiet. Maybe I got a good set before Good Year decided to make them cheap!

While the RTS lasts a very long time, they do not have the grip in wet, dry, or snow thatm any others in its class have. Most peopel dn't know how a truely good tire performs.

Check out Tirerack's survecy results. RTS is ranked 46th in its class with 47 million miles logged. That BFG is a little better, but not a lot.
