Hanging Spare Tire ?

Had to lower my spare tire down from underneath the bed at the tire shop it came down with the raised letters {facing up} they told me that was wrong i said it was like that from the factory ? does it matter which is the right way and why. does any body no ?????

Dont know if it is right or wrong, but I would want my spare with the white letters down. My reason being that if the white letters are up then the parts of the tire that touch the vehicle are going to look like crap when you let the tire down and install it. You will be able to tell every place that was against the vehicle, and you cant wash that off. If the white letters are down, it will be dirty but you can wash that off. Just my observations.

The spare should be hung with the valve stem pointing down so you can check the air pressure once in a while.
