Question something besides good years?

I have the stock 17's on my truck, 00 Lariat with towing and offroad. Currently that is 265/70R17... i want to go with a little bit bigger tire but in Goodyears that's a small fortune for me. Are there any good alternatives that are a bit cheaper? I also have to pull a 24' camper so it can't impede that.

reman tires

Yo,

If you want a top quality tire for about 60% of the cost of a goodyear try these http://www.high-tec-retreading.com/ .
They are remanufactured tires and are one of the best mods I've done to my truck to date. You can't beat the mud tread or even the AT tread. I have the mud design and just love them. I have about 4k miles on them now and still no sign of wear. I paid $380.00 for 285/75/16 shipped to my door. Try and get 2 Goodyears for that price.

I'd suggest looking at the 285/70-17 (33x11.50) Toyo Open Country AT's.

Do they make the REVOs in 275/70R17? I am also looking to replace my 265 R17 RTS and am unable to find much beyond the 285 BFG AT KOs which are pretty pricey. Thanks for your help.

I found the cooper discover st and atr online for less than $600 at 275-70-17. The st is a nice looking tire and it was what I was going to get had a not come across a good deal on some 285 bfs.

The BFG KOs may be pricy but everyone ive talked to who has them say they will last forever. Some guys have gotten 100K miles out of a set, just rotate them every other oil change and youll be good to go. Ill tell you how their doin in 80k miles.

Talking firestone destinations

I have a set of the new Firestone Destinations. They are an awesome tire very compareable to the dueller. I got the a/t's and they really hook up off road as well. 5000 miles and really happy with them so far. LT 265/70 /17. i like the LT tire better than the p rated tire for my application. I did lose about 1 mpg but a good trade off for me.
