tan truck black wheels

After an exhaustive search for a decent tire upgrade from my 265-70-17s I'm on the verge of ordering some 16's in the U.S. Wheel 84 Series Black Daytona Wheels and then get some 285-75-16 tires to put on em. Im not sure how this might look though and was wondering if anyone had done anything similar to it. I have a lot of black on my truck, it's in the gallery, but the bed rails are crome but they could be painted or removed and I could white wall the tires to try to balance the black. tell me what you think.

I have thought about black wheels for my truck. You might try taking a picture of your truck and using a black marker to color over the wheels for a rough idea of the look. I wouldn't think you would need to remove/redo your chrome bed rails as they will tie in with your bumpers. As for the tires, instead of "whitewall", you might want to accentuate the black look by having the blackwall side of the tires mounted out.
If you get the wheels and tires, could you post a picture of how they turn out? Also, what is the cost of the wheels you are considering?

I just finished powdercoating a set of wheels fo a guy down the street. Did them in semi-gloss and they are going on a Tan 05 superduty... i think it will look pretty good.

I have gloss black rims, and they look great on my black truck. I get lots of compliments. Lots of people have chrome and polished, but you dont see too many sets of black.

I did a body lift yesterday and installed the procomp rockcrawler series 97 in black I like them on the truck the aren't the wagon wheel style like many of the black I like the look of them much better. With the 35 inch baja belted I think they look real tough.

Auburn I found your truck's twin brother in Kansas. Its got the stock wheels with 285/70/17 BFG KOs on there. Ive never been a big fan of black wheels but what ever floats your boat.

I love the black wheels. They just make the statement that the truck is not a show truck.

heck, I spray painted my blazer flat black the other day, the trees like to tickle the sides alot
