Can This Wheels and Tires Fit????
I will order the 35" tires (Pro-Comp) for my 1999 4X4 F-150.
It has the 3" PA Lift kit.
I'm interested on these American Eagle wheels:
Series 102- Polished (Rear wheel drive trucks and SUV) By American Eagle
Specifications
Finish: Polished Aluminum
Size: 17 x 9
Pattern: 5 on 135 mm
Back Space: 5 in.
Offset: 2 mm
Load Range: 2100 lbs.
Warranty: Limited Lifetime
Weight: 32 lbs.
Now, before making the order, I need to be sure that it will fit.
What about the backspace? With that size of tire, can it rub?
Do I need to crank the torsion bars a little? Or just are ok with the 3" lift?
Are those wheels "ok" for those tires? those wheels are 9" width, is this ok?
Thanks
...ben

Yeah, those will work with a 315/70-17 (35x12.50). You may have to crank up the torsion bars or trim some plastic off the front bumper's lower valance. Most 305mm and 315mm wide tires (12.50 inch section width) recommend an 8 to 10 inch wide wheel so they will be fine with the above size.

Wandell, I think those are the same wheels you got, but 1 inch smaller. The tires are biggers than yours 315 Vs. 285.
Looking at your truck picture, looks very good. Did you have mores pics. of your truck? with the 3" lift kit and those 285 tires ? I like to see closer pictures, maybe I can mount smaller tires, cause in your truck looks great.
thx...ben

Wandell, I just ordered about 10 minutes ago the (4) wheels. I will mounted first with my actual 305-70-17 tires, I think I can use them for a few more months.
Now I read about the gears changing when running big tires. This is new for me. I replaced my OEM tires (265's) at 39K miles, I mounted Pro-Comps 305-70-17 with OEM Wheels.
AT 89K Miles, I replaced again with the same tire size (305's) having the same OEM Wheels.
Right now my truck has 125 K miles running those big tires, without any problem (the truck gears are the OEM ones).
I will mount the 305's on new wheels (9 inches) and after few months, I will replace tires. Maybe I put the sames 305's or bigger ones 315's.
What can happen if I run the same gears? I got the same problem as you. No gears changers in my area, maybe a transmission shop can do the job, but I don't know.
thx, ben
