Cheap mud radial tires

What are some good off-road/mud terrain tires that I can still get plenty of mileage from on-road. Looking to put them on the stock 17's so I think the biggest I want to go is 285/70/17. I believe these will fit well, correct me if I am wrong?? I really like the Wrangler MTR's but those things are nearly $200 a piece. Looking for something a little cheaper but good quality. Thanks

my friend is running the 34x10.50 super swamper LTB on his truck he is happy with them, they work well in the mud. He has had no rubbing issues on a stock truck on the factory rims. They are only 125 dollars a piece.

A bias ply tire is not going to ride well or give you much milage. 4Wheel Parts has specials on the Pro Comp MT's all the time. They make a 33x12.50-17 that would work fine for you.

Cheap. Good Traction. Long life.

Pick 2.

99.99% of the dirt cheap mud terrains are NOT going to last very long on the road. Most will see 20k or less before they're toast. A good higher quality MT will last much longer. My MTRs ran for over 50k, and they've still got 3/8" tread left. I just left them off the new truck because I don't want to run 35s on it.

Yeah, tires are one of those things that you seem to get what you pay for.

Opinions vary about this tire. My friend has got them on his truck and his loves the performance of them offroad but he is disappointed about how fast they seem to be wearing out. But i have heard of people getting long life out of them.
