I have an 05 reg cab 4x2 that I want to put mudders on. Will I be able to fit 16x10 American racing wheels (Baja) with 305/70/16s? If not what will fit? Thanks.

 

You have to use a 17 inch or larger wheel to clear the brakes on 04-05's.

 

Really, what to they have 13" rotors? Well I guess I need to know the biggest tire that will fit 17 x 10 wheels then?

 

you should be able to get tires with the same diameters (ie, you should be able to get a 305 for a 17" rim). Of course this will vary depending on what brand of tire you are planning to buy.

 

I doubt that you are gonna fit a 33x12.50 on a 17x10 on a 4x2 without a lift. The problem is that all of the 10 inch wide wheels I've seen for the 04-05's don't have enough backspacing, which causes them to stick out way past the fenderwells. I seem to recall a 4x2 truck on this site running a 285/70-17 (33x11.50) on a 17x9 inch wheel (with 5 inches of backspacing) by using a 2.5 inch leveling kit.

 

Well I was just looking at the American Racing Baja's and I see they only come in 17x8, not 17x10. With 4.5 backspacing. So what do you guys think would be the max tire size with 17x8, and how far do you think they would stick out past the fender?
