Tire situatuion

I have a 1999 SD 4x4 Supercab with the 5.4L. I don't know if I want to lift my truck or not. If I decide not to I want to run 315/75R16 tires. The problem is I don't know the best tire for my needs. I commute to work everyday, which is about a 35 mile round trip. On the weekends I do some light to moderate mudding. I have 305/70R16 Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers on the truck now. I don't know if I want to go back to Dunlops or if I want to go with a Super Swamper SSR, BFGoodrich Mud Terrains or Goodyear MT/Rs. What tire would best meet my needs?

I would go with either the mtr or the bfg mu terrain. The super swamper is great in the mud, but is not very well suited for the highway. You will get a lot more miles out of the goodyear and bfg compared to the swamper as well. Personally, I would go with the mtr. It does better in the mud than the bfg and still does good on the highway.
