has anyone used M.T. Baja claws?

i am looking for some new tires for my lifted beast, i was looking at 395/70 R16 (38/15.5/16) Mickey Thompson Baja Claws to be my next set of tires, have any one of you guys used these tires on any vehicle? if so how did they wear? life expectancy? road manners? how loud on pavement? on a 1-5 rating in mud, sand, rock, and (gasp) pavement, any info would be most helpfull i hate to spend $1,400 on a set of tires and then not like the way they drive (been there done that) thanks for any replies

If you go by the test in the link, the SSR's look like winners to me. I looked on www.intercotire.com and they do make it in a 38/15.50/16 just to let you know.

have you checked out the parnelli jones dirt grip tires? They look pretty good to me and come in the size you're after. Here's the link:

I have a set of the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Rardials 33x13.5/18 and I love them. Had them for about 1000 miles and now I have to get rid of since I am moving. I dont want to go back to factory tires.

hey bgoff you said that you had the baja claw radials correct, i was thinking about getting those tires but i have heard that they are like driving with bricks on your tires...just wondering if where i heard this was confusing the baja claw radials with the regular baja claws???

I don't think that the radials I have are bad at all. I've had mud tires and buckshot mudders before and these are not bad at all. What size you looking for? I'm needing to get rid of mine cause of moving. I aldo have the wheels to go with them. Look at my gallery under bgofftruckpics.
