truck shuddering

In the last week my 2000 F-150 has started to shake and shudder while braking. Figured it was about time to change the brake pads; did that this weekend and the problem still continues. The rotors looked fine, but am wondering now if they need to be turned or need new ones? Any other problems that would cause the pulsing in the brake pedal and steering wheel? Or is rotors probably the most common? Any help would be appreciated!!!

Sure sounds like warped rotors to me ... I'd have them checked out.

I had to replace the rotors on my truck at approx. 40k miles due to the same thing.Trust me,the shaking gets a lot worse quickly the longer you wait.I think I paid either 40 or 60 dollars for a new set of rotors and problem solved.

Use a high temperature silicon lubricant on the caliper slides. If you don't the rotors/calipers may not slide back when you release the brakes and the new ore machined rotors will warp when they overheat. I learned this one the hard way on my rear brakes. I used a silicon lubricant that was meant for brakes.
