Tire size question

Tire size question
I have a 98 F-250 (light duty) that I just purchased a set of A.R.E. Atlas wheels for.....size 17X8
The guy at tirerack.com recommended 275/60/17's for this application.
I see where most of you guys/gals use 265/70/17's.
Any opinions on the difference in these sizes?

If I'm thinking right both tires are the same hieght. The 275s are wider is the difference. I had a set of 265s on my truck and I kinda wished they had been wider. I would say go with the bigger tires.

The 265/70-17 is probably a better choice for off road or snow being narrower tire but the 275/60-17 is better on the road and it looks better.
