I looked at those 589's before I got My Baja's. I wanted a 16.5x9.75 and the 589's in that size ( At Least At That Time ) Didn't have our bolt pattern. I paid 1244 for 4 Baja 16.5's and 4 35" BFG AT KO's delivered. The warn truck had the ends of the axles swapped out so they could run those wheels. Ended up with a different bolt pattern and Different size calipers so that may be why you can't find those wheels to fit your truck. They may have never been designed to.

Let me answer the Warn ford question. They converted to the old pre-97 F150 lug pattern. that is how they got that wheel to fit. For the 15", I dont know how. Most likely had to shave the caliper bolts.

For the ARs vs. 589s, I have seen some people post that at Pepboys the ARs in 16x8 are only $99 each. About $20 less than the 589s, but only 16x8. Also a lot of local tire stores, at least here in the Pac NW carry ARs in stock, Eagles are a day-10 day order. Personally I like the 143 wheel. Just released! I am going to get a set when the truck arives in 16.5x9.75 with the 33s.

I am going to get those 143s, 33x12.5x16.50s mounted, balanced, warrantied locally here for $1050.

Question Why doesn't anyone have Eagle 589's???

OK, this may be really stupid of me to ask, but why does everyone seem to have AR Baja wheels instead of Eagle 589's??? I went to a local dealer because I wasn't sure if they made the 589's in a 5x135 pattern, but he said they do - so, is he lying? OR, do the 589's suck? I myself, have had bad luck with American Racing wheels in the past (clearcoated aluminum with clearcoat peeling) - and the fact that they are prone to cancelling a wheel type with no notice and you have a hard time finding it later if you need it - example, I really like the old AR212 wheels like on the Warn F150 - except I don't think they make them anymore and that truck had 15" diameter AR212's and I don't think I can run most 15's....excuse me, I just seem to be ranting - the reason I want the 589's is because there are some nice "package deals" with the 16.5x9.75 Eagle 589's and BFG 33x12.50x16.5 for like $1100 -

I just found out the answer to the 589 question. I was in 4 wheel parts yesterday ordering my wheels, tires and shocks. The guy originally was going to order the 589s for me b/c they were a little less expensive. But, another guy said that they will not fit the Fords b/c the Ford calipers are too big. They could be bored out to fit though.

They fit on the Chevys b/c they have smaller calipers (not as concerned about stopping).

So, I got the AR Bajas. I actually worked him down to a price less than what the 589s were.

I have a different opinion/reason why the AR's are more popular than the 589's. Here's my personal experience. I prefered the look of the 589's, so i ordered a set (yes they DO have 5x135mm bolt pattern that fit without clearance issues)and waited 3 weeks for them. When they arrived I rushed to the shop to pick them up. Well when i pulled them out of the box i immediately noticed they weren't as brightly polished as the AR's..kinda dull in comparison actually. Then i took a closer look at it and noticed the grey powder coating inside the 8 holes was flawed. It looked like it was worn off down to the aluminum, about the size of yer thumbprint, and it was like that in the same spot in every hole. So i opened another...and another..they were ALL like that! I walked over to the rim display and looked at the AR's..and promply asked them to order a set of the AR's...and to send these POS 589's back! Well I just picked up my AR Baja's (16x10) today and when i opened the box..man BIG difference. They look great! The guy at the shop warned me too...he said "The AR's are better quality and the insides of the holes are polished, not painted like the 589's..dude the AR's look better.." After this whole ordeal, another guy at the shop actually told me they had 589 DISPLAY rims on the wall discolor..and had to put a new one up twice already!! Had to pick my jaw up off the counter after that remark. Anyway..just wanted to share my experience with the group :P

is there any way that i can fit the 16x8 589s on with no clearance problems. i was at fourwheel parts today and the guy said he thought that they would on the quote that he gave me it says
"wants to fit fit 99 f150
a/e 0589-7859"
does that sound right or is he completly wrong. the reason that i want those wheels is because they are buy 3 get 1 free right now at four wheel parts.

Hi again JDm,

Yes the 16x8 589's do come in the right bolt pattern and backspacing for our trucks. I think he means they will be for an F150...as a reference to make sure they get ya the right set. Make sure the are 5x135mm bolt pattern or they wont fit. Cya soon Im sure..lol
