Alright everyone--time to give away your secrets!!! Does anyone know of a good and cheap tire store where I can purchase the pro comp mudder tire or the superswamper SSR for my truck?? Thanks!
Dealing with those tires, you're not going to get much of a price difference no matter where you go. Between the competiveness and mfg. controlling prices, you're usually looking at $3-$6 flucuation. Try National Tire and Wheel. They were the cheapest I found.

i am looking at the pro comp 33/12.5/17--the 17" rim sucks because it is hard to find tires and if u do it is really expensive- I have the off-raod package and I cranked my torsion bars so my front is 2 inches higher and my truck is finally level!!
My very recent experience indicates that the on-line tire store (tirerack.com) was no bargain. They listed BFG Comp T/A 17" for $110. Then you would have to pay someone $10 or more per tire to mount. NTB listed for $119 but were out of stock. I bought at Discount Tire for $113. In all, it was $8.00 per tire cheaper than tirerack.
This is just one case. Tirerack, and others, may work out better for some tires.
Regulator - my tires are belted tires, so the ride is a little rougher (not much at all) and noisier, but I like the sound of the tires on pavement. From what I've heard from alot of people, these were good for all around use. They have an aggressive tread pattern but not too knobby as to wear off like swampers. As soon as I get my digital camera hooked back up, I'll post some good pics of them this weekend. I have some serious ruts its in my field where I mud run sometimes and they were so deep it was like driving one of those cars on tracks at Disney World. You could just let go of the wheel and drive and never ever be able to climb out of the ruts (about 1 foot deep). But these tires with the tread on the sidewalls, grabs right on there and yanks you out. I love it! And best of all, my buddies are jealous, and isn't that why we do the things we do to our trucks? lol
