I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a private tour of Pearl Harbor. It is a little know secret that I don't know all the specifics on it, so it will take some research. I was in PH for 5 years and didn't find out about this until 2 weeks before I got out. So I'm posting this so hopefully more people will hear about it. I found out from a co-worker at the Shipyard who went on it, He got the phone number from a neighbor (who was a CT stationed at ??? My mind just went blank it's the place by Ewa) to make the reservations, it was reserved like 4 to 6 weeks in advance so I missed out. From what he told me the tour leaves from a boat house that is past Rainbow Bay Marina in the fenced in area past the dive shop (Ocean concepts). The tour includes a trip around Ford Island and a stop at the Arizona by itself. The tour taskes around 40 people out on it which is military and their guest. I think personally this would have been nice to be able to do the Arizona with just a few other military personal and their guest. So If anyone can get better information so it can be given out to all the commands so that more people can benefit from this. This also made me pretty mad that this perk was know to a very select group of military. I you have any question just ask and I will try to answer!
