Are there any reputable shops in or around the Modesto, CA area that can regear my truck and add an LSD to it? I don't want to go to 4wheelparts since I hear more bad than good about them, but I am not too sure what shops to trust. I am not against going to the Bay Area (east bay or south bay preferrably) if there are stellar shops available.
Oh, and since we are on the subject... Should I go with 4.56's or 4.88's on my 35x12.50-R17 equiped F150? I would like to go with 36" or so tires someday, but in reality probably won't go beyond my 35's. The 4.88's would be nice for towing, but the highway driving would suck (and I do far more highway driving than towing).
What LSD would you go with in the rear, Auburn, Eaton or a Detroit True-trac?

Thanks for the ideas guys. I've done all of the work on the truck myself (lift, Amp running boards and exhaust so far... nothing tough), but tearing into the diff's scares me a little.
To the end of having a Ford dealership install it, are there any reputable dealership service departments in the area? My local shop is not a good dealership from my experiences, and constantly harp on my mods... my warranty expired 4,000 miles ago give it a rest already.
I've only had routine scheduled maintenance done there. Oil change, multi point inspection, topped off fluids, and rotated tires. Great service. I think that they are a big enough dealership with enough technicians that someone in their shop will know what they are doing.
