Good maintenance place in Oakland, ca

Hey everyone,

I'm originally from southern california and have some guys down there I trust but my only experience with maintenance stuff up here was with Albany Ford, which wasn't what I was hoping for.

All I need is to get an oil change, probably some brake work and I have this rubber hose hanging down from my rear axle so nothing serious.

Any of you guys know any good places in or near Oakland? I can go anywhere if its near a bart stop also.

Thanks for the help.

btw, I have a 99 f-150 supercab, 2x4 with the 5.4L.

Albany Ford sux 'da big one. The sales dept sux & service sux.

If you're in Oakland, 4WheelParts.com has a location at E 12th St & 20th Ave. Come across the bridge. S&C Ford/San Francisco Ford has a great service bay. The service writers & techs are fairly knowledgeable & their prices are fair. Labor is at a competitive market rate & pricing is usually based on the hours stated in the service manual + market rate for parts. They will also use parts that you supply, although their warranty will not cover any parts not sold by them.

I can do minor repairs and maintenance for ya. oil, brakes, and simple repairs I could do.
I dont have all the proper "Ford" software to pull Check Engine Lights and what not.

European Auto Repair is my shop, located in San Rafael just off the 580/101 junction.

You may have to change the shop name to "European Auto Repair & F-150 Tuning" soon. I'm going to have to look you up soon; once I get my Troyer Electric Fans in the mail.

Not sure about changing the name. Some of the more "uppity" customers may get a little "turned off" by it. This is Marin !

But I am more then willing to help people if I can. I need as much of the good Karma I can get ! Plus, hopefully in not too long, I plan on selling most of this place, buying some land (perhaps out in Utah, near MOAB) and opening up my own " Recovery and Repair truck stop". Been a dream for a long time of mine, and now its looking more and more realistic. I would say in 5 years or so... we shall see.
