Hey, just got your email about your truck tires. I just got out of the navy and moved away about 2 months ago. From what I know, Oahu is the only island that is still doing vehicle recon. Vehicle recon is done on vehicle that are midified (ie. suspension and so forth). There isn't any max tire size that I know of they just go by how high your bumper is. When i failed my recon inspection my bumper was like 12" below the max higth. If your tires stick out more than your truck then you need fender flairs. But I went two years without recon on my truck without any trouble from the law. You will need to get a safety inspection which is cheesey, they are done every year, but if you do get recon it's only $15 and it is good until you do modes that effect it. But I still had a relatively small truck compared to some of the other ones there. If you have any more questions just ask.
