I'm also getting the 50-55 mph vibration inspected. I really noticed it while towing last week, so I figured I'd get both addressed while still under my extended warranty, and powertrain warranty.

Andy,

Let me know how your dealer visit goes. I'm happy to lend a hand if you need me to.

Diagnosis was spark plug related, so I'm going to swap out my plugs this weekend with new Motorcrafts gapped at .30.

Well that is a simple fix at least.

Spark plugs changed out today. Not quite as easy as expected:

1. Coil pack boots were a pain to get off the plugs. They were almost frozen onto the plugs. I put silicon grease on them before reassembly, hope the next change goes faster!

2. 5 of plugs pulled were about .036" gap. One was 0.038". I replaced with same OEM plug, gapped at 0.031"

Now time will tell if it fixes the misfires. I only have 1300 miles left on extended warranty, so I'm going to drive my Fusion on longer trips so I can stretch my warranty as much as possible...

I also just posted a new video on how to prevent as much of this carbon buildup as possible.
