Oh yeah stick with Motorcraft!! I had those expensive Bosch Platinum 4's in my old truck and they gave me problems. I replaced them with Motorcraft Platinums and had a lot better results. That's all i'll ever use now! It's a pain in the butt tho to replace the plugs on a V8.

I would love to replace my own plugs in this truck but scared to death I would have a couple break off in the head. I guess when its time I'll just fork over the cash and hope they cover to remove the broken plugs under my extended warranty.

I really think you could do it youself and save some money. I had to do half my plugs one weekend and the other half another weekend lol. All you need are a few different size extentions and small hands are a plus.

36k is nothing on today's spark plugs. They are designed to go 100k. My factory plugs were still serviceable when I pulled them at 84k but I changed them on general principle.

If you have a 06, it doesn't have plug wires unless it's a V-6.

You have a COP (coil on plug) system. Each plug has its own coil pack that sits on top of the plug. If you have a 5.4, these are the 2 piece plugs that love to break when attempting to remove them, and there's a special technique required to change them.
