Update for "Ian.N" Engine tach.
Hi Ian
Tks for info. on engine tach.
I contacted "Isspro" Said they had a tach. that would work on my "99 SC 4.6L" with the new ing. system EDIS with coil packs.
You mentioned "inductive pickup" Isspro. said i would need a "sender unit" mounted to the "outside of crank pulley" That goes to tach, etc. inside cab. tach. need 12v hookup.
Isspro. not exactly sure? on my install, have to expoxy or make a bracket for this thing to pick up a "l--2 signal"? off crank.
Anyhow, said it would work.(Isspro wasnt sure about ign.tach) Was this like what you installed?? I'm lost already. HA
Im familiar with old tach. hook-ups off the coil, or tach. off distributor, this is just
really new to me. But apparently not new technology. Isspro. said it would work on anything. (They mentioned diesels, as u did)
Tks. again. OT
