has anyone change camshafts in 4.6 to a performance cam. i so where did u get it. i am looking to get better low speed tq.

I checked with Crain cams and they have nothing for the 4.6L. They did extensive tests for Ford a while bach and they were unsuccessful in helping the 4.6. You need to change the heads before doing any cam work.

HI!... CRUTON : I agree with JMC. I sent some time talking to a few SVT guys at the DETROIT AUTORAMA show. I asked them if they were going to come out with some high performance cams for the truck 4.6 and 5.4 engines. They told me that there is no need because after extensive testing by SVT that they simply can't make any more power with the stock restrictive heads. SEAN HYLAND makes aftermarket cams but I have been told that you will only gain a maximum of 10 H.P if your lucky and you will sacrifice a ton of low end torque.Hope this helps you out.
