I surfed onto that Mini Mopar site a few years ago and read his test results. I immediately quit using any Fram products after years of loyal use. A letter from an Allied Signal engineer, explaining how the quality of filter had been reduced recently to his objections and the company's response. The site was shut down for a while due to pending legal action. What you see today is a sanitized version of the original filter study, which is still informative.

Thumbs down Fram

I too have used Fram oil filters forever. I became convinced that this is now a JUNK filter when I changed the oil on my wifes car today. It is supposed to have the anti-drain back valve on it, but when I removed it, barley any oil spilled out of it (it had been sitting overnight). Normally, I would have a huge mess when pulling the filter off (even after an overnight sitting). I only bought it because I was in a hurry and it's all the store I was at had...... Well, they had other's, but I choose the Fram...................

Fortunatly, I have been using Motorcraft on the F150 since I got it.....
