Fwd 4.6 dohc in f150??

How can I make the engine swap work? If I can't swap the whole engine, what will I have to do to convert the sohc 2 valve to the dohc 4 valve heads? Or is if even worth doing. I currently have the sohc engine sitting with heads removed. Need to get back on the road so all advice will be greatfull. Thanks

What are you working on? We can't see it through the Internet. What is the DOHC out of?

I know the bell housing mounts dont line up, motor mounts, oil filter, have to be moved but exactly how do I go about getting a coverson plate made for the tranny, and so forth. I appreciate all opinions and thanks

you need a rear wheel drive motor to get all the accessories from so why not just start with one of them from the beginning????

We don’t know why you have a heads off of it for whatever reason, so you’re probably best bet is putting heads back on the two valve and sticking with it

I mean let’s face it that’s gonna be your fastest cheapest option

Putting 4V heads on a 2V block is not straightforward. Among other things, you need different pistons.
