My 1999 f150

My 1999 f150 has 345000 miles on it it's a 4.6 trans been rebuilt my oil pump is shot and it sucks cause the part only cost 30 dollars but when I find a mechanic the was gonna charge me 2,000 to fix it cause he told me that the oil pump is located behind the timing housing and he would have to take apart the front of the motor so he suggested I get another motor so I did some shopping around and I have a 4.6 Triton and I found out my trans will bolt up to a 5.4 so I have a price on both I found a refurbished 4.6 with 34,000 miles with life time warranty they want 1,800. and it's a swap out I found a refurbished 5.4 with 36,000 miles with life time warranty also for 2,000 which should I go with its a daily driver. Thank you for your help

I'd keep it 4.6 for simplicity

If you do a forum search you can most likely find lots of information on making the swap. Like was suggested, it'd be a lot simpler just to stick with a 4.6.
