Stumped on this 4.6 ford motor in lincoln town car stretch limo

So it has a knock coming from driver side top of motor. Which leads me to believe that somethings loose but what I can't seem to find out is how to adjust the lash oil pump is good and have pressure so got any ideas thanks

Valve lash? That's not adjustable, it has hydraulic cam followers.

Make sure it isn't an exhaust leak first. Then if you remove the valve cover, you might see what the problem is.

First remove the serpentine belt to make sure its not a FEAD component or pully bearing. Then check sparkplugs for a loose plug. Then remove the cam cover and look for a collapsed lash adjuster, worn cam lobe, damaged roller finger follower. If all this proves nothing wrong then the intake manifold may have to come off. Do you have a missfire and any codes? have you used a stethoscope you try and get and exact location of the noise?
