O7, 5.4, sluggish / sputters between 40 and 50 mph
Bought this truck this past dec., start this after I bought it, and has progressively gotten worse. Runs fine except when excelerating between 40 to 50 on any grade. I can punch though it or take my foot off the peddle then reapply There is no engine code that appears. Has anyone heard of this, any ideas

I used a set of accel supercoils in my 03' 5.4 when I changed plugs (stock MC plugs) over a year ago. For what a pkg of 8 cost me wouldn't buy you 4 from ford, I'm totally satisfied with their performance and the yellow looks sharp in the engine bay. I ordered mine from amazon, after double checking part numbers with Autozone. You NEED to make sure you have the correct coils ordered, my 2003 5.4 uses a different one then your 07. I'll add a link to AZ and Amazon for the part I THINK you need, but you'll want to enter your trucks info to make sure it's the right number.

Odd, I've had good luck with their products in the past as well. My truck is a daily driver so i'm using it every day.
When I decided to purchase them I read through a lot of reviews (the bad ones first) I take into consideration that an unhappy person is 10 times more likely to complain or post a bad review.
I found in some reviews guys had the wrong COP for their year 5.4L and installed them anyway? Others where one was bad and they had to get a replacement (warranty) I could swallow that as acceptable personally because even OEM parts can be bad out of the box.
My deal was we pulled the motor out of the truck to replace a bad head gasket, I was on a budget and with all the other parts (timing chain set, gasket sets upper and lower, torque to yield bolts, water pump, tensioner and pulleys, belt, hoses, radiator, etc.) Prior to this endeavor I was afraid to try the plugs/ coils, but with the engine on a stand and the heads coming off anyway it was the right time if there was a problem. I wanted 8 COP's because then (hypothetically anyway) they'd all be operating within their tolerances and I would be confident I wouldn't be changing them for some time. So far that has been the case.
