need help identifying harness connector on '98 4.6L F-250
I'm putting my rebuilt 4.6L v8 romeo back into my '98 F-250 4x4 and have connected just about everything back up except this one connector. The connector itself is at the very end of the harness line about 10" past the oil pressure sender connector on the oil filter adapter that goes to the remote. I've tried my best to see what in the area there might be missing a connection, but visibility is tough.
The picture below shows the oil pressure sender connector on the left and my mystery connector on the right.
Do any of you fine folk have a clue what this might go to?
Thanks,
Steve

nah ... the knock sensor is on the back side of the wiring harness in between the O2 sensors. In fact, I made the poor assumption that I'd be able to connect the knock sensor after installing the intake manifold. I'm now in the process of removing the intake because I wasn't able to fish out the knock sensor connector after it fell into the valley.
There is nothing on the power steering pump or gear that accepts a connector ... nor on the front differential. My next thought is that perhaps this doesn't connect to anything at all, and was designed for some sort of optional equipment. I have a tough time imagining how it got that dirty if it had been protected inside a connector housing.
This post makes me a bit suspicious of that as well http://www.fordf150.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=98945
