Thumbs down Promar Engines suck

Try and keep this brief. My 5.4 cratered Dropped a valve on one cylinder and broke a follower on another. Passenger side of course. I looked around and ordered a crate engine from Promar Engines in NJ. Website says they are 5.4 specialists and you get an unlimited mileage 3 year warranty. So shame on me for not reading the fine print on the warranty. It's crap to put it mildly. They cover to a max of $540 of flat rate labor at $45/HR. I don't know any shops that work for $45/HR. So 12,000 miles later it starts to rattle on startup. So I quit driving it. Passenger side chain tensioner is shot. Great. I paid a guy I know $600 to swap the tensioner. They only sent me $320. Chain tensioner is only 8hrs they say. They also never sent the cheque until over a month later when I called back and complained. Couple days go by and its spits P0340 and suddenly won't idle below 1200rpm and I can hear the phaser rattling. Guess I didn't quit driving it soon enough. So I'm broke and it's winter so the truck has been sitting. This week it warmed up enough and I have time on my hands so I tear the valve cover off and check the cam journal and it's not bad so I order some parts. Pop the phaser off and it's Dorman. Are you kidding me?! Every forum I have ever been on says don't buy Dorman because it's crap. My buddy that has done over 20 phaser jobs said don't buy Dorman they are crap. Crap warranty. Crap service. Crap parts. Crap crate motor. Avoid Promar at all costs.
