Another 5.4 misfire question
I just replaced all my ignition coils 6 months ago with accel super coils. Today on my way home from work I hit the interstate and at 75mph my truck was misfiring so bad my wipers were bouncing off my windshield.
I have a 2007 5.4.
I had a misfire on #3. I replaced the coil and it is running better but still not normal.
My question, is there a underlying issue that causes the to go bad that might be a simple fix?
This is the second set of coils I've put on in a year.
I'm about to just say forget it and get rid of the truck.

Sometimes the cheap coils don't last very long. When it comes to ignition parts on these trucks anything but Motorcraft is a step down. Yea, they can be pricey, but sometimes you get what you pay for, and who wants to change coils every time you turn around. Hell, that gets pricey too after a while.

The only cheap cops I trust are Araparts. I definitely do not trust Accel or MSD - they may make good ignition parts but their cops are garbage.
If you buy the Araparts direct, they have a lifetime warranty - but they are out of stock on the DG511's. Amazon has them but only with a 1 year warranty, they are $20 cheaper than direct.
