95 ford f150 5.0 Timing???

Ok I hope someone can help me I just bought a 95 ford f150 with a 302 . The problem im having is it takes forever to get up to speed takes about 2-3 miles to get to 60 mph then if I go up a hill it slows down. From what im seeing online it seems the timing is off. Dose that make sense? Or where should I start. I don't think its the tramisson don't feel like it's slipping or anything.

Is it missing on a couple cylinders? Timing would have to be WAYYY off to make it that weak. Is it detonating (spark knocking) while accelerating?
If it just feels weak Id look into the fuel system. Filter and pump..

When its just sitting there running it runs perfect, hit the gas it still runs great. Its just when driving I can take off slow up to 35 but if I take off at a normal speed it make a loud klunk noise and dosent take off

What would be the best way of testing that all the truck has is the cat then straight pipe the exhaust seems to be coming out good.

A muffler shop can test it for excessive backpressure. If it's straight pipe after the cat and it's not plugged, it will be LOUD.
