im new to this and am no mechanic by any means and have a slight problem. i have a 99 f150 4x4 that has a 4.6. i recently blew a hole in the motor. idk if it matters but its an inch above the oil pan on left side. well i got a 5.4 given to me and then was told it was to big and woulnt work because of some computer stuff. do i have to swap the 4.6 with anoer 4.6 or would the 5.4 work. i need all the advice i can get right now.

 

What year is the 5.4 out of, and is it complete with manifolds?
