truck wont fire need help!!
ok so i was driving to work and the truck died on me like twice and both times re-fired up..( 99 f150 5.4) .then started driving again and it finally died for good it wouldnt fire afterwords just cranked and cranked tried shooting starting fluid in it and it fired really quick but then shut off obviously lol brought it home and starting looking at it and i can hear the pump buzz but still no fire i figured i can check to see if i had pressure from the scharider valve and barely anything came out. turned the key off and had my brother try to see if it would fire and when the key came on fuel came out.. nothing like shooting out but more like a overflowing faucet seems weird to me...... i need to figure put what i can fix or replace on this to get it to fire again... i was thinking maybe the regulator first or the pump or maybe both i know there should be about 28lbs of pressure coming from it minimum... any help is greatly appreciated fuel filter is maybe 1100 miles old maybe

well i got a fuel filter this morning and swapped it out with the old one, fortunately it was clean and was able to blow through it.. it wasn't but 1500 miles on a new one but figured it was the cheapest route to go. well that's ruled out now and yet im still getting fuel coming up through the scharder valve when i turn the key on, its not a huge geyser but its more like something is blocking the path so it exits at the valve... it this point im guessing its the regulator.... considering there's no pressure at the valve to even test it you can see there's no pressure. so im thinking of replacing the regulator now and seeing what happens... anyone ever replaced a regulator before?? would removing the intake make it easier??

Ok as for the wiring issue what are some things I can look for to double check to make sure they're ok... ??thank you for everyone that's replying. This truck is gonna drive me up the wall lol. ... what's something like that if the transmitter is bad cost to fix im sure it's not a swap out and it's gonna be programmed ...also the cup in the key what's something like that usually run abouts so I can have a idea

If the key is bad, you are going to have to get a tow to a dealer, they can cut a new key which has to be programmed to your truck. That runs around 85 bucks plus the tow. The truck came with 2 programmed keys.
It's not a transmitter, it's a transceiver. It's in the steering column, it's a collar around the ignition cylinder that communicates with the key.
