so i swapped out the 5.0 liter to a 5.8 liter out of a 95 e250 van into my 95 f 150 4x4 5 speed. Rebuilt the motor. (all stock) New timing chain,oil pump, one new head, shorty headers, new cat, super 40 flowmaster. im still using the 5.0 computer. should i find a computer for a 5.8 out of maybe a f250 5 speed truck? would i see any differences in hp torque curve or oerall gains?. it seams sluggish till i get to about 2500 rpm then it wants to take off. i tried adjusting my timing but my distributor is stuck. also does anyone know of a good performance top end kit or combo for the 351 i may want to turbo it eventually with a rear mount turbo.

 

You are going to have to get the dizzy unstuck, then you can do a sixlitre tuneup.
