Need help with 2010 F150 5.4
not much of a mechanic & I need some help. My 2010 5.4 F150 is stalling. Been to the dealership twice, no help. The truck will start & run for a few minutes then the motor stops running. It has electrical power but no motor. It takes 2-4 turns of the ignition to get it running. The security light will blink along with the check engine light. Any ideas?

Help. I too have a problem
I'm new to all this so forgive my ignorance if this is the wrong place. I have a 2010 F150 5.4. It's stalling & quitting. After start up it loses all motor power but the electrical is still working. It takes me 3/4 turns on the ignition to get it started. The alarm security light will blink & the engine light will stay on. Been to the dealer twice & they can't find the problem. Any ideas. Thanks in advance

Welcome. No idea about your problem but I have the same truck. Does it spit and sputter or anything or does it just quit like you turned it off? Does it run ok otherwise? If the Security light is on then that may mean that the security system is shutting down the truck AND preventing it from re-starting. If it were me I'd try to find out what's going on with the security system first. I would think that the Security system would be disabled once the key was turned on. Maybe you can find out why it's not.
Has anyone done any work or modifications to the electrical system????????????
You might try putting in a different KNOWN good battery. These trucks do some funny things when the battery first starts to go. The truck will still start and run and you'll THINK that the battery is ok but odd little electrical problems start occurring!
