Hey guys, it's been forever since I've been on here because I got a different truck, but my old 99 F150 with the 5.4 has a serious problem, and I want to fix it and build it up for a friend of mine. I know cylinder 7&8 have a misfire that new COP and plugs didn't help a lot, but very slightly helped. I have all the codes it's throwing. It has a very loud knock, and is severely lacking on power. So, my question is: opinions on what is wrong, and how hard is it to tear one of these engines down?

No sensor 1 O2's? that will cause all kinds of problems. Start there! You can disconnect sensor 2 but the computer needs sensor 1!
