Best place to buy parts for timing chain fix?

What is the best, (not necessarily the cheapest) place to buy the parts for the timing chain swap?

Thanks

The only part I've wondered about is the tensioners. One of the engine builders sells billet tensioners (OEM are plastic) and the rest is all OEM parts. I've thought if that would be a smart part to get.

X2 on ordering from Tasca. They will take good care of you.

Very good prices and great sales team. They took care of me when I ordered parts for my Lincoln.

A+ for service and every other segment.

Will dealers use the steel ones if you have the work done?

No, only if you request it and even then I'd be shocked if they could figure it out or if they'd even be willing to try. Most dealership service departments are scared to use parts that aren't listed for a specific vehicle.

Ford switched from a steel tensioner to a plastic one in the early 2000s, to be honest the plastic ones seem to work just fine in the vast majority of cases but some guys do prefer the steel ones, Particularly the high horsepower guys.

That said, I personally know of multiple 800+ hp Mode motors in Mustangs running those plastic tensioners with no issues.

If you're asking about re-using the ones you already have, I wouldn't, if you're doing the timing set you really should replace it all.
