Harley Spark Plug

Hey guys I had a spark plug blow out on my 02 Harley with about 80k on it. After doing some research on here I've decided to go with a timesert kit. Is this a repair I can do with minor mechanical skills? If not, can anyone recommend a shop in the San Antonio area? Fyi it's the number 7 plug that blew out, the difficulties with reaching back there are putting me off from trying this on my own.Driving my wife's Honda Pilot is slowly killing me on the inside.

Timesert and Lock N Stitch are the only 2 inserts that work, and it's not too difficult to do. Contact member "Galaxy" via PM, he rents the Timesert kit and can probably give you some pointers.

Otherwise, you could contact blownoutsparkplug.com, their inserts are the absolute best, but they don't sell them. They do the work and it costs a pretty penny if they have to travel.

As a suggestion

Might want to pull the supercharger and other goodies off the top to give you more room to work...that way you can clean the intercooler and inspect your rotors

Thanks for the tips guys, I may have found a local shop that will be able to do it for a decent price, but if they can't get to it soon then I'm going to do it on my own. Time to start researching how to remove the supercharger, clean the intercooler, etc. :-)
