Both are junk. You will be chasing misfires to yer dying day....

Motorcraft or Visteon only. In an emergency, 'Araparts' COPs on Fleabay.

Nope. Nothing outperforms stock Motorcraft or Visteon. The Accels have reliability issues.

Accell is for sure junk. Same thing as the cheap Chinese coils you can get on e-bay for nothing. I've never seen anyone who has actually used MSD complain about them and my own experience with MSD products (that does not include ignition coils for a mod motor)has been excellent. Based on that experience I wouldn't think twice about trying them. I'd go after Vistion or Motorcraft witch are the same thing first though.

Well, I just did a set of Granatelli same price as the accel it was well worth the price ~you'll notice the difference. It doesn't matter too much bout the brand unless your runnin on the track for money but, do replace them 4 and 8 will be badd.

I did a set of Granatelli bout the same price ~definitely replace them though the ones up by the firewall will burn out quicker and defunk your low rpm.

Any new coil set will make an engine run better if one or 2 are on there way out. The way the ignition system is designed its as high performance as you can get it right from Ford. I have the pre runner to Granitelli Moto blues and I've had 2 fail in 50k. I'm lookimg at coils right now because I've have another missfire issue. I'm wondering about the Denso coils. Rock auto say they are an original equipment part.. only less then $24 each. I might gamble on them..

I am getting ready to replace my Coils as well. I intend on using Motorcraft as everyone says they are best.

My question, I have already swapped the plugs to sp515, do the COPs stay the same as stock or should I be using a different version there as well? and..what is the correct part number for the 5.4?

Thanks guys.

rock auto list the motor craft part as MOTORCRAFT DG508 {#3W7Z12029AA, DG540} $42.74. I recently bought the denso 673-6000 rock auto says the denso's are original equipment supplier. I compared the denso coil with a Motorcraft and they look identical. I installed them and they all work but I havent ran them long enough to say much more. they are close to half the price. Denso's are made in USA.

DG508 is the 2 valve cop - a 3v with 2 piece plugs uses DG511.

I have the triton 5.4 with black COP boots. I believe that is the 3v so mine should be the DG511 if I am not mistaken.

Now I have changed to the sp515, so unless somebody has other recommendations I think I am going to stay with the DG511 by motorcraft.

Doesn't matter what plugs you have, the DG511 or equivalent is what fits.
