Ok. Background on the truck. It is an 05 SCAB 5.4. It has 54k on the odo. I have been driving it for the last year. Prior to that is sat in a storage for 4 years while I was overseas. I fogged the motor prior to leaving it. New battery and it ired right up.

Now the issues. Lately it has a hard start. Fails to start with a hard knock. All the lights light up then bht no check engine or any other warnings when running. I have a slightly rough idle. When at idle i have a knocking noise. It seems to be coming from the passenger side of the motor. Additionally I think I may be burning a slight bit of oil. I have had to add about a quart over time. No smoke no drips of oil anyplace and just passed emissions

is this thing about to get expensive

 

Any codes - Pending/stored or otherwise? ( A CEL may not be present )

Thank you. I printed the letter. I will have to make an appt at Ford and have them verify if it is an injector. I was thinking Cam Phaser.

 

It could be a phaser, a broken cam follower, a bad tensioner - it's going to need troubleshooting.
