pulling my hair out for a fix
hi,
i have a 95 f150 4x4 with the 302 ho
when i got it, it had a blown gasket in the rear of the trans. i fixed it and discovered this problem.....idle up and down, sometimes stall. when i take off from a stop it chugs getting no power and the rpms sink. the only way i can get to speed is flooring it. it lags until i start going a bit faster. 45mph or so.
its getting spark, fuel filter is changed, i dont think its a problem with any elec components. tonight on a test drive, when it was bogged down i would hear a strange noise like an intermittent scrape from underneath.
could this be a trans issue or is it a trans issue? im at a total loss. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advancegoodbad:https://www.f150online.com/forums/im...-angel-003.gif

Does it idle/die/rev strange when you're in Park? If not I'd put my money on your transmission being an anchor.
You could also check your timing, pip in and pip out. You should see it jump about 15* so if you're 10* btdc with the pip out, it should jump to 25* or so with the pip in.
Strange scraping noise is never a good thing. If you're driving it around with no pip, your timing is locked at 10* btdc and it will drive like a pig.
