Motorcraft spark plugs part #

2003 F150 4.6 looking to order the right motorcraft sparkplugs Advance auto is telling sp-493 when I look online there are so many different part #

See www.fordparts.com for official Ford parts lookup.

SP493 is the single platinum plug, SP413 is the non-platinum version. Either will work, the platinum version would be expected to last longer.

When you go to order the SP493 on advance auto web site it's tells you they are for the wrong application

Autolite XP104 is a good upgrade. The fine-wire electrode makes for a more focused and consistent spark.

I know Motorcraft offers some Finewire plugs, but don't have the part number handy.

Why are you wasting time going by what's on Advance's web site? I gave you the web address for "official" Ford part numbers.



I don't think there's a Motorcraft fine wire plug for this application. If there was, I'd use it. I've also used the Autolite plugs numerous times without problems.

Picked up the SP493 from advance with the 30% off online order for $20.00 not bad
